Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 April 2026
Welcome to Book Direct at bookdirect.co.za (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Nature of the service
The Site provides information about accommodation listings, destinations and related content. Book Direct is a discovery and directory-style service. Unless we state otherwise on a specific page, we are not the owner or operator of the properties shown; bookings and contracts are between you and the relevant provider or platform they use.
Listing and host services
If you wish to list a property or access host tools, those services are operated via our partner platform at stayvisible.co.za, which may have its own terms and privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site unlawfully or in a way that harms others or our systems;
- scrape, harvest or automate access beyond reasonable browsing without our consent;
- misrepresent your identity or send spam or abusive content through forms;
- circumvent security or access restrictions.
Content and accuracy
Listing details, images, prices and availability are provided by third parties or automated feeds and may change without notice. We aim for accuracy but do not guarantee that any information on the Site is complete, current or error-free. You should confirm important details directly with the property or booking channel.
Intellectual property
The Site design, branding, text and compilation are owned by or licensed to Book Direct. You may not copy, modify or redistribute Site materials except as allowed by law or with our written permission. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their owners.
Third-party links
The Site may link to external websites (including booking partners). We are not responsible for their content, practices or terms. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.
Disclaimer and liability
The Site is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss where allowed. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including gross negligence or wilful misconduct, where applicable).
Changes and termination
We may change these Terms or suspend or discontinue the Site or features. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted. We may restrict access for breach of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to mandatory consumer protections where they apply. Courts in South Africa have non-exclusive jurisdiction, unless you have a stronger mandatory right in your country of residence.
